About the Author

Robert C. Bosack, DDS, is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and clinical assistant professor at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. He has served as an examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and has served on the board of directors of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is the executive director of Dental Anesthesia Online. Dr. Bosack speaks at national dental and anesthesia conferences and has written professional articles and the book Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office. He maintains a private practice in Orland Park, Illinois. 

Stuart Lieblich, DMD, is clinical professor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He is a Past President of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and a past Director of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He serves on the editorial board of 3 major journals, has written more than 20 textbook chapters, and is an invited speaker at national conferences. Dr. Lieblich maintains a private practice in Avon, Connecticut.

One of the titles in Mundy's "Jimgrim" series

This Mundy novel was also published under the title "The King in Check". I have already written reviews for the Mundy titles "The Ivory Trail" and "King of the Khyber Rifles". If you would like to get an idea of how much I enjoy Talbot Mundy books, check out those books and my reviews. This time I am going to quote from the blurb of "The King in Check", A. L. Burt edition as I think that it will tell you all you need to know about this great book: "The King in Check" is a highly exciting adventure story in which there again appears that famous hero of Mr. Mundy's special creation - Jimgrim or James Schuyler Grim. Jimgrim is an American secret service agent, at present in the employ of the British in Jerusalem. With him in the present novel are his faithful sikh shadow, Narayan Singh; as well as Ramsden, an American and Jeremy Ross, an ex-soldier of the Australian forces, both eager for a fight of any kind. This opportunity soon presents itself, as the abmitions of the French in Syria arouse the enmity of King Feisal of the Arabs. For his aid in WWI, the Allies have promised Feisal the kingship of Syria, Palestine and Trans-Jordania. This promise they have not kept however and the French are out to discredit or kill the Arab chieftain. To further their ends, an order is forged, ostensibly from Feisal to his Arab adherents which calls for a massacre of the Jews in Jerusalem. When this message is intercepted, Jimgrim rapidly swings into action. With Ramsden and Ross as volunteers, he matches wits and weapons with the powerful plotters who are financed by the French...(Jimgrim) proceeds to Damascus and smears the intrigue against Feisal. With a considerable amount of little known historical truth worked into the background, "The King in Check" (or as titled in this case "Affair in Araby") is one of the most colorful, fast-moving and exciting of Mr. Mundy's Jimgrim stories."

While I love this blurb, it just can't convey the extent of intrigue that goes on in the novel. What the blurb mentions is just the bare outline of a story that is surprising in it's depth.

This is an interesting book, as is any book about Quantum Mechanics in daily life. The Source Field Investigations: The Hidden Science and Lost Civilizations Behind the 2012 Prophecies, Frank Kinslow's The Secret of Instant Healing, The Future Is Yours: Do Something About It!, Dowsing and Manifesting, Secrets of Shamanism: Tapping the Spirit Power Within You, Matrix Energetics: The Science and Art of Transformation, Urban Shaman, House of Shattering Light: Life as an American Indian Mystic, The Neville Reader: A Collection of Spiritual Writings and Thoughts on Your Inner Power to Create an Abundant Life, Journey to the Ancestral Self: The Native Lifeway Guide to Living in Harmony with the Earth Mother (Bk.1), Initiation: Boys Are Born, Men Are Trained: My Journey with an Apache Medicine Man, and Laura Day's books on intuition, are all other examples of applied Quantum Mechanics. I learned her methods- the simple ones- just by reading the book, and I got noticeable results. I use the digging method of Dowsing and Manifesting, because it is faster. Vianna's books are simply great, loaded with practical information. They work for me. There are people for whom nothing works. They know volumes about whatever problems they have, because they want to keep those problems, which make them feel important, and right. Would you rather be right, or healthy? If you are willing to change, to grow, to become more of who you are, Vianna's stuff is worthwhile. If you prefer to stay cooped up in a box of limiting beliefs, well, don't read any of Vianna's books. Vianna is herself a little strange [at her trainings, her granddaughter is allowed to extort money from people who want to go to the bathroom- for what you pay, that is at best insulting], but her books are very useful. I have taken the first 2 trainings by a practicioner trained by Vianna, and I found those trainings useful, also. Nobody knows everything. Vianna doesn't know everything. However, she has a good set of ideas, and I have found them useful. I didn't find this quite as useful as Theta Healing, so only 4 stars. I also have the 2 books Vianna combined into Theta Healing, before that came out. When I was in the Army, I found I had to put the gas mask on my head, and fit it to my face, for it to work. Theta Healing ONLY works if you fit yourself into a Theta EEG. This is easy enough, however it is very necessary. Vianna's detractors don't appear to understand this. By way, I was not paid to write this review, or any other review I've put on Amazon. I invite others to write better reviews. The most valuable part of a review, to me, is people suggesting similar books, so I try to encourage that by doing so myself. I have a special needs child, and I use TH to help my child, with results I can see. I note related books because that is the most useful part of a review for me. I have found gems that way. I encourage others to do likewise.

I was very patiently waiting for this book because I got several other books by Vianna Stibal and I felt I had not found the key to how to go to the creator safely. But I was also able to find some one with experience of going to Theta that shed some light on the technique. After telling me about her experiences she and I tried it together Boy was that a thrill. I was eager to read this book It opened up so much knowledge for me and made sense about what I am trying to do with my life. The most ridiculous theory ever! After being happily married 23 yrs I feel that I would be a more qualified author than this one, who from what I understand was divorced.. if not, come talk to me after you've been married 23 yrs.. In that time, I've swung a hammer next to my husband while we built our home, mowed the yard and other 'manly' things. We've discussed our faults and laughed at our mistakes and sometimes been too busy raising our family to be able to connect with one another every now and then. It's all in the way it's done. You talk and discuss about things, not belittle. He was never 'emasculated' from it and we have 4 beautiful kids so your testosterone theory seems to ring false.. I don't walk around with a smile on my face at all times even when I'm not happy as you suggest, that's absurd, but we try not to sweat the small stuff and seek positive things in every situation. Love that man to the moon & back!....God put us here to be helpmates, not sponges or slaves. You should have self-respect, not cater to every whim of a man or put on a 'fake face' to please him. You or both of you will be miserable. You should both be true, loyal and honest to yourselves and each other. If you both love each other's 'true person' you can be together. There is no other love like it. If not, move on and find someone who loves you for being you and can accept your 'faults'. What are faults to some are qualities to others. You need to compromise to make any relationship work, but don't have to give up being yourself to find/keep a man. What a load of poppycock!! I told my daughter to 'RUN!' after her boyfriend sent her a page from this book. He has proven to be the sick individual who would buy into this nonsense. Since then, I've read more of the book and am extremely disappointed people really agree with this type of mentality and listen to people who have no authority on what they are speaking. You can give anyone a pen, but a knowledgeable author it does not make. I would give this book 0 stars if possible. *SMH*

Inspiring!

I am so glad I had time to read this book in between scrubbing the floor in my kitchen where I belong and making sandwiches for my husband. How could I not see women were inferior to men? This book is enlightening, probably the greatest book for wives. I doubt a better one will come along until at least twenty years from now in the 70's. Thank you, Ro Élori Cutno, for opening my eyes to God's truth. For man was made first, after all.

Worth the Read

My husband & I just finished reading this book together. It is certainly challenging conventions for both of us. I would say it is worth the time to read. Take what you can and weave it into your relationship. Leave the rest on the table if it is too much to handle for you. It has definitely sparked some very deep conversation between us and we are understanding each other and reconnecting - regardless of whether or not we agree with everything written.

I'd like to compliment June A. Boon, author of "Manual of Veterinary Echocardiography". I really appreciated the didactic planning-out, the accuracy in the details explanation, the coherence and iconography. The mastery of the subject and the will to teach the beginner come out from the reading. It's, with no doubt, the only manual that allows everybody to approach this science even as a self-taught person. A big 'hi' to June, David, Denali and Logan.
